Easter and a Sprained Ankle
Hey all!
These last two weeks have been great but just a little bit slower than normal. My companion sprained his ankle two weeks ago and it's still bothering him. So we're still taking it easy here while still trying to get some good work done until my companion is able to get his ankle figured out. But we've still been able to find a lot of people to teach and help lots of people learn more about Jesus Christ! It was also especially awesome to have Easter and to be able to talk to people about the true purpose of Easter and about the atoning sacrifice of Christ.
I also got some exciting news this week! I found out that three people that I had taught in my last area who were on date for baptism were finally baptized this last week! It is so wonderful to know that this is the Lord's work, and even though I wasn't there for their baptism, while I was there teaching them, I could see how the gospel was bringing so many blessings to their lives. And it is just one more example that we really don't know how much impact we can have on a person's life with just a few simple interactions. I didn't teach them for long before I left the area, but I know that those few lessons made a great difference in their lives. And we can all make a great difference in the lives of others.
This will also be the last week of the transfer, so I am excited to find out what the next 6 weeks will have in store for me. My guess is that I will stay here in Ibura, but I'll let you all know next week!
We are also working very hard to find and teach families who are ready to come unto Christ. So please pray that the Lord may prepare families for us to teach!
Have a great week! Até mais!
