Elder Jeffrey Hill

 Hey yall! First off, sorry I didn't write last week. Things got a little busy and I got a little lazy... but here we go! These last few weeks have been pretty busy! We have spent a ton of time looking for new people to teach and then doing our best to help them progress. And we have found a ton of people to teach. It's been great to get to know so many wonderful people and to help them start to change their lives for the better. It is super sad when so many of these people choose so quickly to stop learning more only because they aren't willing to put in the effort to do the little things (read the scriptures, pray, go to church...). Nowadays, it seems like everyone always has an excuse for everything, but when we finally find the people who are willing to do their part, it is incredible to see just how quickly and miraculously their lives change! And hopefully this next week we will find even more of these wonderful people who are willing to sacrifice to win the blessings...

 This last week, and this last transfer, have absolutely flown by! I'll get to my week here in a second, but for now, transfer news! Drum roll please..... l will be staying here in Imbiribeira but my companion is getting transferred to another area. And my new companion will be Elder Bastian, another American! I'm definitely a little sad that I won't be staying with Elder Tuckfield, he has been an amazing companion! But I'm excited to get to know Elder Bastian and I'm super excited to stay in this area. This last week was pretty great. We spent a lot of time looking for new people to teach and ended up finding a super awesome family! They are planning on being baptized here in a few weeks and we have been able to work with them a lot already! This week our ward also had two activities, one was a São José party, and the other an activity to try and help the people we are teaching and the members get to know each other better.
