I have run out of titles for my emails

 Hey yall!

First off, sorry I didn't write last week. Things got a little busy and I got a little lazy... but here we go!

These last few weeks have been pretty busy! We have spent a ton of time looking for new people to teach and then doing our best to help them progress. And we have found a ton of people to teach. It's been great to get to know so many wonderful people and to help them start to change their lives for the better. It is super sad when so many of these people choose so quickly to stop learning more only because they aren't willing to put in the effort to do the little things (read the scriptures, pray, go to church...). Nowadays, it seems like everyone always has an excuse for everything, but when we finally find the people who are willing to do their part, it is incredible to see just how quickly and miraculously their lives change! And hopefully this next week we will find even more of these wonderful people who are willing to sacrifice to win the blessings that our Heavenly Father has prepared for us.

And I want to talk a little more about sacrifice. One thing that I am learning (really learning deep in my heart) is that the Lord truly loves sacrifice and effort. Because we only learn and grow when we do all we can FIRST, and then let the Lord help us out. In this area, we have had a bit of trouble helping people go to church, but yesterday we saw an example of this principle of effort and sacrifice. Yesterday we had a lot of people who wanted to go to church, so we sacrificed a little bit of our sleep, woke up an hour early, and were already heading out of our house at 6:30 to help these people go to church. We stopped by all of these people's houses to wake them up, remind them about church, and then walk with them the 30 minutes to church. More than half the people who said they would go didn't come, but we did our best to help them. And then when we got to the chapel, we were blessed with 4 other people who came to church alone or with friends! The Lord saw our efforts (little as they were) and blessed us! It wasn't even the people we had planned on bringing to Sacramental Meeting, but because of our efforts, the people that the Lord prepared were able to be there.

These last two weeks I've also been on a few exchanges which were fun! Including one with the Elders who live 3 hours away. So I had lots of time to contemplate my life for 6 hours on the bus Saturday morning lol. We also went to this restaurant called WaffleBurger which is (exactly as you would imagine) hamburgers with waffles as a bun. It was quite delicious!

Other random facts about these last two weeks... When you live in Brazil for almost a year, eating McDonald's ice cream is a  much more exciting experience than you would think. Also, there was this parade thing one night put on by some weird religious group here where everyone was dressed in white and gold singing this weird song and dancing in the street. So that was cool! And today we're having a Brazilian barbecue!

But I think that's about it for this week! I hope you all are doing great and that you are able to see God's hand in your life!
