When you have the desire, you find a way

 Hey all!!

These last two weeks have been great! In addition to all the normal, we have had a couple of exchanges, and zone conference. All of which really helped me to think about how I can become a better missionary.

These last two weeks we've been working really hard to find more people who we can teach. It's not always an easy process, there are plenty of people who don't have any interest in learning more, but something that has changed my outlook a little on life. I dont know every reason that people have for choosing not to accept a quick visit or phone call to talk about the gospel of Christ, but I think it comes down to two things. I think a lot of people feel very comfortable with their lives. They don't think they need more of Christ in their life because their lives are good. And I think other people don't think it's possible for them to change, or that their schedules or families or other situations make it to difficult to change.

But even if we're not rejecting a visit from the missionaries, aren't we all like those people sometimes? Don't we all think "I don't need to read my scriptures today, I already studied a bunch this week." Or maybe, "I am so busy, there us no way I can find time this week to go check on my neighbor to see how they are doing." I'm guilty of the same things, but I hope that each of us can try to focus how we can always strive to become better and find time for the important things in life.

I'm having a really great time here in Brazil, and I so grateful for everything I am learning. The work of the Lord goes on in full force and each and every one of us, whether or not we leave the house with a white shirt, tie, and name tag, are part of the Lord's promised gathering of Israel.

I hope you all have a great week!
