Stake Conference and Old Friends

 Hey all!!

This last week was pretty good. We had another couple of families that we stopped teaching which is always super sad, but we have a big long list of people to start teaching which is great!

This week we had Stake Conference which aside from being a really great spiritual experience, gave me the chance to talk to a lot of members from my first area which is part of thus stake. I was able to talk to a lot of them and surprise them with my Portuguese that has improved dramatically in the last 4.5 months. And I saw Yudi, one of the people I helped to baptize in my first area! Which as you return missionaries know, it brings the most amazing feeling ever to know that the people you helped teach are still strong in the gospel! In talking to them all, I was also reminded just how long I have been in Brazil lol. It is fun to think back on my first area and how much I dreamed about the day when I would be able to speak fluently. And I can honestly say that that day has come!

This week I was also reminded of the wonderful blessings that God promises after our much FASTING and PRAYER. After a while of praying with some questions in mind, I decided to include fasting in my efforts to receive an answer. After I finished fasting the next day, I was studying the scriptures and was overcome by a feeling of love that my Heavenly Father has for me. This experience was an answer to my prayers. And I can say with assurance that this experience came after much fasting and prayer like the scriptures said. I don't know exactly how God will answer your prayers, but I do know that through fasting and prayer he will answer them. God loves each and every one of you so much and I know that he is waiting on just a little bit more effort on our part so that he can rain those blessings down upon you!

I don't have much kore for this week, but until next week I hope you all safe and healthy and learning a lot from the experiences God gives to us.

Até mais!
