Zone Conference and Goals

 Hey all!! How it going?

This week felt pretty, but I have absolutely no idea why so you can forget I just said that lol. This week was another zone conference which is always such an amazing experience and opportunity to learn.  We focused a lot on the simple fact that as missionaries, we are representing Christ, and in order to represent Him, we must do our very best to really know Him and his teachings. We also talked about the focus we need to have to working with members and how much easier the work is when we include them. All in all, an incredible opportunity to learn. Me and my companion have been able to set some really great goals so that this next week we can refocus on helping people to read and gain a testimony of the Book of Mormon.

This week as well we ended up heading to the farthest part of our area which is 30 minutes of walking and then an hour long bus ride. Unfortunately, our most important lesson there didn't end up happening because the person we were there to teach forgot about our visit and went to visit some family. But this was the fist time I made it all the way to that part of my area so it was a fun experience.

This week we've been drinking a lot of guaraná do Amazonas which is basically a banana, peanut butter, and guaraná smoothie that we love to make in the mornings. One night we also bought a family size burger that a restaurant here makes (for those of you who remember, the same hamburger that I had during my first transfer during an exchange). I forgot how huge it actually is... and how delicious lol. So Ive definitely been eating well here.

The baptism we had planned for this week didn't work out because our friend Lucas didn't come to church last Sunday. But like I said, I'm expecting good things this week with our new goals and such.

In other random news, it has started raining a bunch here, so I definitely have created a new relationship with mud haha. But the rain hasn't been to much of a problem, at least so far. And at least while its raining its a little cooler (only because the clouds are blocking the sun, not because it actually cools down lol).

But this last week has been really great! And I'm excited for even more experiences this next week. Hope you all are doing well  and remember that it is through the smallest things that the biggest changes happen. What will you do to make that change happen in your life??

Até mais!!
