Tu Viu! Oloko!
Hey all!
I think this week it will be a short email, but I'm doing really well!
This week we had another baptism and confirmation. Maria Silva has been taught for a while now (I think for basically as long as I've been here in Brazil) and I'm honored to have been able to help her finally be baptized. And she has one daughter who we are hoping we will be able to teach more soon!
This week we were able to teach a lot of lessons and work with a lot of people who are progressing. Although we don't have a baptism scheduled for this coming week, we have a lot of people who are close, and in the coming weeks I hope they will accept the invitation to be baptized!
This week I've been working on my Portuguese vocab so that I can sound more Brazilian lol. Some of the best phrases are oloko, tu viu?? and ó gloria. Here pretty soon I'm gonna be able to convince everyone that I'm Brazilian haha.
This week we were also able to find guaraná dos amazonias, (basically a banana, peanut butter, and guaraná smoothie) and I think we've made it every single morning!
Other than that, the work goes on. This week we have zone conference and tons of visits and family nights and such already planned. So its gonna be a busy week but I'm excited!
Have a great week everyone!
