Round 2 (Zone Conference)

 Hey all!

This week was another great week. I had zone conference for the second time and another exchange which just is just another reminder that I'm a good chunk of the way through a second transfer. I'm definitely become a lot more used to the mission life and it's crazy to think that I've been here for almost 2 months now. But I'm loving it so much!!

At zone conference, there were a lot of things that I loved. Some highlights were: First, making our studies sacred and making them time when we can really feel the Spirit and feel close to the Lord. Our studies should be a time when we can receive revelation and learn the things the Lord has to teach us. Second, making Christ our best friend, which starts by making sure our thoughts are focused on Christ so that our words, actions and habits follow suit. Christ really becomes our best friend when we recognize just how completely we rely on him and humble ourselves to him and the power of the Atonement. And third, the power of videos! We have started using videos as a way to contact people and teach short lessons. It is a way that we can be personable and do a little more than just sending a text. And it seems to be working really well! People seem to be more interested and we are able to teach better the people who are super busy and don't have time for us to visit.

This week I had an exchange with Elder Nonato that was super fun. I got to play some basketball with some of the people that they are teaching while Elder Nonato taught some of the people who were watching. It definitely felt good to play for a little bit, and maybe reminded me a little bit too much how I miss playing basketball haha.

This week we were able to have an activity at the chapel with lots of the people we are teaching which is exciting news because it was the first time since the pandemic that we've been able to have these types of activities.

Other than that this week was a lot more lessons, meeting new people and helping people to come closer to their Savior Jesus Christ. That's about all I have for you this week folks, but the work goes on!

I hope y'all are doing well and that you can feel the Savior's love for you this week. I know that there is power in reaching out to the Lord through scripture study and prayer, and that we really can feel Christ's love and strength when we do.
