Goals!
Hey all!
This week was pretty great in terms of meeting your goals. Especially in terms of meeting new people. This week we started getting to know a bunch of kids that are always playing games in the street near our house. We have shared a couple of messages with them, played some fun games, and might even start teaching an English class with them this week. We are hopeful that as we start getting to know their families, we can find more people who are interested in hearing our wonderful message of the restoration!
We also met an amazing family who we have started to teach. They are amazing and always give us food so I'm really not complaining haha.
This week we also had a couple of people come to church with us again which was another amazing blessing. But even more amazing was that we were able to set a date for the family we met to be baptized! As we taught them and testified of the importance of baptism, the Spirit was so strong! It was amazing to see their desire to grow closer to God and strengthen their faith by making that wonderful choice!
This week we also had an amazing service project in the cemetery. We participated with a bunch of other missionaries and members and helped to bring a little bit of comfort and joy to those who were visiting their loved ones. We met a lot of people who we were able to help as we shared the plan of salvation, and it was a great experience.
This week we made some plans for some fun activities that we will do in the chapel in coming weeks, including some English classes. It will be really fun to try to teach some people English with my very limited Portuguese knowledge haha and I'm super excited.
Nothing too crazy happened this week. Pretty normal in terms of finding and teaching new people. But if any of you have good ideas for Facebook posts that we can use to share the gospel that catch the eye, please send them my way!
This week I am looking forward to another zone conference and the chance to get to know some of the other missionaries here in Brazil a little better.
And as hard as it is to believe, it's hard to think of things to say in these emails sometimes haha, so if any of you have questions, please send them my way too and I can try to answer them!
I hope you all are doing well! Brazil is teaching me so much and I am so grateful to be here!
