Work, Work, and Lots of Meetings

 Hey all!

This week was full of a little more of the normal again. We ended up having lots of meetings, devotions, etc. which it turns out are even more boring when you don't understand the language very well haha. Were planning a big service project with the stake in November focused on eternal families, so we've done a lot of planning and prep to help with that. We've also been trying to work with members more so we participated in a ward devotional last night to share some of our goals and such.

This week the work was a little slow. One person who we're teaching is working to be baptized and agreed to live the Word of Wisdom which was super exciting! We had two other people accept the invitation to be baptized this week, but unfortunately, their parents don't really love that idea so we are working on ways to help them continue to learn even though we're not sure if or when they can be baptized.

We met a lot of new people this week. We shared a message in the street one day about family history work and it was super cool to be able to pull up my family search account and show pictures and stories of my ancestors. Hopefully, a lot of those people will accept the messages we shared and will let us keep teaching them!

This week we had an awesome service project with a member of the ward. We helped him tile and grout his kitchen which was actually a lot of fun since it is something I already knew how to do. He is an awesome guy and it was really great to get to know him even though there is a bit of a language barrier.

Probably the hardest thing for me right now is the language. It's a slow-going process to learn a language, and certainly a little frustrating when I can't communicate very well with people. But I am trying my best and hopefully I can pick it up quickly.

This week I loved going back and starting to study the general conference talks again. I know that they were all inspired! Each one testifies of Christ and of His gospel and I have learned so much as I've started to study them more. I am also loving the time I have every day to study my scriptures. No matter how hard my day is, I can find peace and comfort in the scriptures. And I love that I can testify to people I meet that just like the prophets in the scriptures, we have a living prophet who teaches and testifies of Christ! What a wonderful blessing that is!

Sorry this is a bit of a short email. Things are going pretty well here and I'm working hard to learn the language and get a little more adjusted to the missionary life!
