Brazil ... Here I Come!

 Olá! Tudo bem??

Well, yesterday was the last day of my 6-week missionary training at the MTC! I'm done! It's honestly crazy that I've already finished MTC. But probably even more crazy is the news that I should be flying to Brazil on Thursday! I'm still waiting on my official flight plans but with just a little bit of good luck, the next time I write to you all will be from Brazil. I'm so excited! And maybe just a little nervous about going to Brazil where speaking Portuguese becomes a lot more important.

I wanted to take a tiny bit of time to reflect on the MTC now that I'm done. It has honestly been an incredible experience. I had no idea how drastic of a change I would see in myself after only six weeks. I am grateful for the good habits that the MTC has helped me to better develop like daily scripture study and prayer. I'm also incredibly grateful for the great progress I've made in learning Portuguese. I have felt the gift of tongues in my life as I've studied and used Portuguese daily. My instructors were all amazing. I felt like I really came to know them even though we were only able to meet on zoom. Their stories and experiences from their missions helped me to learn and grow. They taught me so much about being a missionary, teaching the gospel, and being a better disciple of Christ. I'm also grateful for all of the missionaries in my district, for all they taught me, and for the good memories we made. Hopefully, our paths will cross in Brazil or later on. I'm excited to use all of this newfound knowledge in Brazil soon!

In other news, I was able to attend the temple again today with Trey who is here in Utah. I am so grateful for temples and the opportunities that I have had to attend before leaving for Brazil. I was also able to participate in a few different service opportunities this week, and it was really nice to get out of the house and serve others.

I don't have much more to share this week other than the adventure is about to begin. More than ever, I'm excited to serve God's children in Brazil!
